For the first time ever, Marina Kaštela is hosting the 11th edition of the Croatian Small Ship Building and Tourist Attraction Fair taking place between April 4th and 7tt. This will be the first major fair in our new state-of-the-art Sailing Centre.
BavAdria and Marina Kaštela are excited to announce that we are again taking part in the “Austrian Boat Show – BOOT TULLN“, the largest boat fair in the central and eastern Europe. The boat fair will take place in the Tulln, also known as the Austrian City of Flowers, between March 7th and 10th.

The traditional regatta entitled “St. Nicholas for Singles and Doubles“ took place between December 3rd and 6th to commemorate the St. Nicholas Day, the protector of sailors and the City of Komiža on the Island of Vis. It was a demanding regatta that took 25 hours to complete under rain and mild jugo wind. Our club was represented by three sailboats with Ivica Kostelić, a famous athlete, among the helmsmen.
To mark the Day of Sailors that coincided with the St. Nicholas Day, the Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure recognised Marina Kaštela for its contribution to the development of maritime commerce. The award was given for the construction of the nautical tourism port - Marina Kaštela in Kaštel Gomilica that was developed in several phases. At the ceremony, Mrs. Maja Markovčić Kostelac, a State Secretary, gave the award to Mr. Joško Berket, the owner of Marina Kaštela.
The traditional “JABUKA“ Regatta began on Friday night, November 9th. It is the most demanding and the most exciting regatta with a length of 110 nautical miles on the Vodice– Komorica – Islet of Jabuka – Vodice route. This year's regatta will be remembered as the slowest one so far due to the lack of wind and the record number of participants from around 20 countries around the globe.
The traditional BAVADRIA CUP regatta organised by JK Marina Kaštela and Bavadria Yachting took place in the Bay of Kaštel on October 27th featuring 9 crews. They started under the jugo wind with gusts of up to 18-20 knots and the Marina Kaštela crew reached the first buoy and hung on to their lead until the end of the regatta. The Udruga Kapetana, Kapetanija and Slobodna Dalmacija crews fought for the other leading positions.
A commemorative ceremony took place at Marina Kaštela for the opening of additional content preceded by the “Open Door Day” at Marina Kaštela when the local residents were given an opportunity to use the swimming pool free of charge along with sailing and rowing presentations and a concert by group TBF.
